The Organizing Committee of the XXXIX Pan-American Congress of Otorhinolaryngology 2025, and of the 81st Chilean Congress of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery invites you to propose a Pan-American Symposium for this event to be held in Santiago, Chile from November 11 to 14, 2025. The Pan-American Symposia are instances in which all members of the participating Pan-American Societies will be able to apply, proposing and organizing the discussion of topics related to our specialty and according to their area of interest or professional development.

The requirements to apply for a Pan American Symposium are the following:

  1. All symposia must have at least one organizer/director who must belong to one of the Otorhinolaryngology and Allied Sciences Societies participating in the Pan-American Congress (excluding residents), and have the support of their local Society.
  2. Participating in a Pan-American Symposium does not release the panelists from the registration fee of the congress.
  3. ENT physicians, physicians from other specialties, professionals from related fields of English or Spanish speaking researchers will be accepted as panelists.
  4. The maximum duration of this activity is 1 to 2 hours, with a minimum of 4 panelists.
  5. The topic to be discussed must be from the specialty of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery and/or related sciences (examples: education, forensic medicine, basic sciences, simulation and others).
  6. The cost of transportation, lodging and meals for the panelists will be the responsibility of the organizers of the symposium, and not of the congress organizing committee.
  7. A higher score will be assigned to those symposia with novel topics, carried out by multicenter teams, with speakers from several Pan-American countries, or including female panelists.
  8. Those interested in participating must fill out the online form on the congress website. The deadline for applications is November 30, 2024.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Acceptance of the Symposium will depend exclusively on the evaluation made by the 2025 Scientific Committee, whose decision will be communicated as of January 15 2025. Submitting an application does NOT guarantee that the Symposium will be selected.
